Three criminal police officers from Rudny have been detained in Kostanay region. This was reported by TobolInfo.
According to the publication, the fact was confirmed by the regional police department. The detention took place on March 17, 2026, as part of a pre-trial investigation.
The operation was carried out by the anti-corruption service of the NSC department together with the internal security department of the regional police department. The police officers are involved in a case initiated under Part 3 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan.
With the sanction of the specialized investigative court of Kostanay, the suspects have been taken into custody.
This article provides for liability for receiving a bribe under aggravating circumstances, including extortion and conspiracy. The penalty is a large fine or imprisonment from 7 to 12 years with confiscation of property and a lifelong ban on holding certain positions.
