In the Zhylyoi district of Atyrau region, the prosecutor's office stopped the inefficient planning of budget funds by the local akimat, the supervisory authority reported.
According to the prosecutor's office, the district budget commission approved the allocation of 389 million tenge for the purchase of a sports complex on December 17, 2025.
However, the inspection found that the facility planned for purchase is in a dilapidated condition. Therefore, after its acquisition, additional budget expenditures for repairs would be required, which could lead to double financing.
The supervisory authority noted that the implementation of the project in this form contradicted the principles of rational planning and efficient use of budget funds.
By the act of prosecutor's supervision, a decision was made to cancel the corresponding financing, which prevented unjustified expenses.
The prosecutor's office emphasized that compliance with budget legislation is under special control.
