Zhambyl Region – Homeland of Tulips: International Festival Held in the Region
The second international festival 'Tulip Heritage' was held at a high level in the Zhambyl region.

About 6,000 people gathered in the village of Yeseikhan in the Talas district for the large-scale event. Among them were regional akim Yerbol Karashokeyev, chairman of the 'Auyl' party Serik Yegizbayev, deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament, as well as foreign tourists, international experts, biologists, and nature enthusiasts.

The head of the region noted in his speech that this initiative clearly demonstrates care for nature, respect for national values, and international cooperation.
– The sun-drenched tulip field is not only the beauty of nature, it is a silent chronicle of steppe civilization, a living testament to the national spirit. Through such good deeds, we combine nature and traditions, glorifying values that will become a legacy for future generations. This festival provides a great opportunity to present the tourism potential of the Zhambyl region to the world, – said Yerbol Karashokeyev.

The Zhambyl region leads the republic in the diversity of tulip species. There are 18 species of tulips growing here, 10 of which are listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan.

The main news of this year – the Kingdom of the Netherlands donated 40 thousand tulip bulbs to the Zhambyl region. The valuable gift was ceremonially presented by Marceli Piechna, manager of Holland Bulb Market, a representative of the Netherlands.

In turn, Serik Yegizbayev emphasized that preserving natural and historical heritage is an important task for future generations.

As part of the festival, yurts and altybakan swings set up at the foot of the mountains highlighted the national flavor, and a crafts fair added to the event's beauty. Competitions in eight types of national sports gave spectators unforgettable impressions, and winners were awarded cash certificates.

The tradition of kymyzmunyrdyk was also revived, enriching the content of the celebration.
Famous singers Serik Ibragimov, Toktar Serikov and Beibit Seidualiyeva, as well as local artists, performed beautiful songs.
During the event, guests admired the tulip field at the foot of Karatau and received unforgettable impressions.

The 'Tulip Heritage' festival was in tune with the republican environmental campaign 'Taza Kazakhstan'. More than 200 volunteers from the International Taraz University named after Sherkhan Murtaza and the 'Auyl' party cleaned the festival area from garbage.
