Application for 3 million tenge grant for youth starts

The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the start of the competition for the 'Generation of Independence' grant (hereinafter - the grant) for state support of new and existing youth initiatives.

In 2026, 30 grants of 3 million tenge each will be awarded at the national level.

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan aged 14 to 35 (inclusive up to 34 years) can apply for the grant.

The grant is provided on a competitive basis for the implementation of projects in the following 6 areas:

• 'Science' – for the implementation of new scientific projects and research;
• 'Culture' – for the implementation of projects aimed at promoting Kazakhstan's cultural heritage, national traditions and art;
• 'Information Technology' – for the implementation and development of new IT solutions and projects, including startup projects;
• 'Business' – for the implementation of new business ideas;
• 'Media' – for the implementation of new media projects, including projects to create educational, useful, interesting content for youth;
• 'Volunteering' – for the implementation of volunteer projects (initiatives) aimed at solving pressing social problems.

Competitive applications are accepted from April 21 to June 21, 2026 (until 24:00 on June 21).

• Project description according to the form in Appendix 2 (PDF format);
• Video material on the project (no more than 60 seconds) or presentation (no more than 10 slides);
• Draft cost estimate according to the form in Appendix 3 (PDF format);
• Information on intellectual property (if any, PDF format);
• Copy of identity card or birth certificate (PDF format).
