The World Health Organization (WHO) has rated Kazakhstan's immunization program as exemplary in Central Asia. 96% of children receive vaccines according to the schedule.
Currently, the country provides free vaccinations against 12 infections: tuberculosis, hepatitis, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, meningitis, measles, mumps, rubella, Haemophilus influenzae type b, and pneumococcus.
A WHO representative noted that this result was achieved thanks to sustainable state funding and the professional qualifications of doctors.
