The Republican Radiology Center in Almaty has started using an artificial intelligence system to analyze X-ray images. AI detects lung diseases at an early stage.
During the six-month pilot period, the AI assistant analyzed over 40,000 X-ray images. Diagnostic accuracy increased by 25%, and the average processing time decreased from 10 to 3 minutes.
Next year, the system will be deployed to radiology departments in all 14 regional centers. The project cost is 4.5 billion tenge.
